BIO

Michael Flores is a  twenty-one year old photographer and visual artist living in New York City.  A California native, his work has been heavily influenced by the diverse landscape and visceral light of the West Coast.  He is a graduate of the Fine Art department at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and has gone on to contribute to publications such as Nylon, Twin, Flaunt, Spin, and Dossier Journal.  He has shot for clients such as Dior, Vidal Sassoon, Revolve Clothing.com, and Bloomingdales.com.  He approaches both commercial and fine art photography with a similar eye; a belief that the synthesis of art and commerce can create unique affective images.  Michael had his first solo exhibition of portraits entitled, 4209, last year in Los Angeles.
